As the lights dimmed within the La Mama Experimental Theatre Club in NYC, the audience was filled with anticipation and ever wondering what would unfold within the space from the creative mind of Jackson Wiederhoeft, the genius behind the eponymous label he founded not so long ago.
Aside from this Editor, who became an instant fan of the brand the minute he walked into the setting for the Wiederhoeft FW20 collection in February 2020, there was also actress and model Julia Fox in the audience, wearing a dramatic look from the Wiederhoeft FW23 Bridal Collection.
What came next was like an operatic dream — an incredible fusion of fashion and performance art, akin to a broadway spectacle.
Titled “Night Terror At The Opera,” the Spring/Summer 2024 collection was brilliantly showcased mixing a blend of elegant day and event-wear with the introduction of tailored pieces, to bridal looks, all created with Wiederhoeft’s unique vision.
Come along the journey as we captured backstage moments, rehearsals, first looks and scenes from the show-stopping 3-part runway/performance. This was no nightmare by any means. This was dream from which you never want to wake.
