The Bold Beauty of the RVNG SS25 Collection at Paris Fashion Week

Three years ago, I had the pleasure of virtually interviewing Canadian designer Jordan Stewart of the brand RVNG several days before the unveiling of her Fall/Winter 2021 collection at a virtual New York Fashion Week. We ended the conversation with the hope of meeting in person the following season, or whenever the world would return to normal.
Jump forward three and a half years and our paths still had not crossed due to schedules and life, despite the return of in-person Fashion Week events around the globe.
As I was preparing to return to Paris Fashion Week (PFW) to cover the Spring/Summer 2025 collections, I received an invitation to her show, her first in Paris. Had the stars finally aligned and I would be able to meet Jordan in person, and of all places, Paris?
Meet me in Paris
On a rainy day three of PFW, I made my way to the Mona Bismarck to attend the RVNG SS25 runway show. While excited to see the collection, I was even more excited to hopefully meeting Jordan in person.
Sleek black and white looks emerged onto the runway and transitioned into cocktail dresses and to more voluminous creations — a signature of the brand. A palette of black and white, lavender, and dramatic crimson were the colors of choice for the “Exhale” collection, one inspired from the breath and a connection to life’s rhythms, according to the show notes.
Closing out the show was a fellow Canadian, super model Coco Rocha, in a stunning and shimmering black gown.
Stewart has carved out her place for powerful red carpet looks and the latest collection did not disappoint. Bold, voluminous silhouettes, oversized bows and a dramatic color palette of contrasts were a beautiful way to introduce the brand within the City of Lights.
And if you’re wondering if we met — it only took three and a half years and of all places, in Paris. I also had the pleasure of meeting Jordan’s lovely family after the event — it was truly a family affair to remember.
