PFW: Valentino’s Ready-to-Wear Fall/Winter 2023 Collection Embodies the Spirit of Elevated Glam Punk

For Fall/Winter 2023, Pierpaolo Piccioli infuses a punk mentality to the “Black Tie” collection unveiled at Paris Fashion Week. Breaking up formal conventions, the striking collection incorporates the “tie” motif as a reference to suiting and all its formality, but with none of its constraints.
Instead we find touches of modern romance through 3-D roses, a black and white color palette with pops of bold color, geometric elements, punk styling and tailored proportions with a relaxed code. There is nothing stuffy about the collection, instead, there’s a youthful freedom with tailored references and modern sophistication.
