Denim with flare ruled the runway, paired with masculine tailored jackets and suiting. In contrast, there were also more feminine looks ranging from flowy, ruffled-edge dresses in muted prints to shimmering evening wear – all accessorized with a range of gold accents from sunglasses to dangling chains with tassels. Knee-high boots and headwear from wide-brimmed hats to head-wrapped scarves were additional accessories that were spot on for the collection.
Beautiful earth tones was the color palette of the collection ranging from browns, greens to golden mustard and camel. Other nods to the era ranged from vests to culottes, not to mention the fringe accents which completed the nostalgic references. It was a bold step to dive deep and commit the collection to an era-long-gone, but the result was fresh for today’s modern woman.
