Franck Sorbier’s Spring/Summer 2019 collection shown at Paris Haute Couture Week was a fresh perspective in the world of fashion. Instead of the traditional runway event, dancers glided across a stage — graceful and almost dreamlike in their movements. With music and a setting that was completely new to me, I was caught off guard by the artistry of the entire production. Even from a distance, I could see the detailed work crafted into each piece, the interesting structures and the beautiful choice of color.
Japanese influence was clearly evident in the collection and I was honored to witness such incredible use of the traditional Japanese kimono.
