Photos by Alpine Baek [/x_text][/x_column][x_column bg_color=”” type=”3/4″ style=”padding: 0px 0px 0px 0px; “][x_text]Upon entering the runway of the Cushnie Spring/Summer 2019 event at New York Fashion Week, it felt as if we had been transported to an island with twin abstract mountains lush with greenery in the distance and two glass-like rivers flowing down the center. This beautiful setting was the stage for a Jamaican-inspired collection from the 70’s and 80s.
Bold colors, color-blocking, stripes, knitted mesh and even denim (which surprised, yet delighted us) were just a few of the elements of this laid back, yet sensual collection for next season. And we can’t forget to mention the stunning Winnie Harlow as she walked down the runway.
