Another aspect of New York Fashion Week that I love is discovering new international designers and the AFFFAIR runway event was no exception. Filled with glitz and glam, evening gowns and cocktail dresses were the focus of Azerbaijani fashion designer, Rufat Ismayil.
The Spring Summer 2019 Collection, “Fashion Beyond Continents, Power of Fire from The Land of Fire”, was filled with rich fabrics and materials like crêpe chiffon, silk, stonewashed silk, semi-precious gemstones, and embellishments and was shown in a color palette of gold, black and emerald. To sum it up, it was a sexy debut for Rufat Ismayil and I’ll be on the lookout for next season.
