The Fall edition of New York Fashion Week (NYFW) just wouldn’t be the same without the annual Supima Design Competition, a competition started in 2008 to introduce the next generation of designers to the fashion industry. The 17th Annual Supima Design Competition was held September 5, 2024 on the eve of NYFW in The Prince George Ballroom in New York City.
Six finalists presented their capsule collections:
- Lizzy Truitt, Kent State University
- Emma Joan Foley, Parsons School of Design
- Jules Gourley, School of the Art Institute of Chicago
- Henry Hawk, Rhode Island School of Design
- Marina Lamphier, Drexel University
- Mina Piao, Fashion Institute of Technology
Congratulations to all the finalists and we can’t wait to see them on future runways of NYFW!
