London Fashion Week Designer Criteria Changes You Need to Know
As we look ahead to the Autumn session of London Fashion Week (LFW) scheduled for September 13 – 17, 2024, the British Fashion Council (BFC) has made some changes for designers who whish to be a part of the event.
The LFW Schedule is curated by the BFC and criteria for designers has been updated to reflect industry innovation and the changing fashion landscape. The new, more inclusive process caters for different types of business models not so reliant in wholesale.
Some of the changes include:
- The eligibility criteria no longer includes minimum wholesale stockist requirement
- All designers must apply each season, regardless of whether they have shown before, due to the limited number of slots available
- An Industry panel will select successful applicants each season, applicants will be assessed on creative merit
