Justin Alexander Luxury Group Hosts Charity Roundtable at New York Bridal Fashion Week To Raise Funds for VOW
At New York Bridal Fashion Week on Friday, October 9, 2020, the Justin Alexander Luxury Group is organizing a virtual charity roundtable preceding their Fall Winter 2021 shows to raise funds for VOW to End Child Marriage. Around the world, the pandemic has disrupted not only business and fashion week plans but also compounded the lives, education and basic safety of at-risk individuals.
The pre-show event will feature a keynote speech from prominent VOW ambassador Princess Mabel of the Netherlands, as well as a speaker panel including Justin Warshaw, CEO & Creative Director of Justin Alexander; Savannah Miller, Founder of Savannah Miller; and Andrea Collesei, CEO of Viktor&Rolf. Each designer will be unveiling their Fall Winter 2021 collections for Justin Alexander Signature, Savannah Miller and Viktor&Rolf Mariage in the virtual shows that will follow the roundtable.

“It is a significant occasion for our Luxury Group to gather at New York Bridal Fashion Week not only to celebrate our creative vision and plans for the future but also to rally behind a profoundly meaningful and wide-reaching purpose,” says Mr. Warshaw.
In time for International Day of the Girl (October 11), fundraising from the roundtable will benefit VOW, a non-profit that works to end child marriage and empower girls and women globally. Every year, 12 million girls are married before turning 18 — many as young as 8 or 9, and find themselves cut short of their education and placed at risk of poverty, ill health and violence. Every donation to VOW funds impactful training, workshops and other vital local resources for women and girls.
“We are proud to be supporting the work of VOW, a pioneer in the movement to end child marriage, and are challenging our partners and bridal community to join us in addressing this global issue,” says Mr. Warshaw. “As we have partnered to face the implications of COVID-19, one thing we have learned is that we are stronger together, and together we will make a positive impact on our industry and the world.”
The Justin Alexander Luxury Group will be donating US$10 per guest of the roundtable and additionally matching and contributing up to $10 for each guest donation.
