Presentation Venue: Marylebone Hotel

The Collection: Our team had set out on foot to our final event of the evening at the Institute of Contemporary Arts to see the Presentation of Irish Designers. Once we finally arrived, we walked into a venue that was being torn down and readied for the next day’s events. We double checked our watches and confirmed the schedule — we weren’t sure what happened and so we decided to call it a day.

Fast forward two days later and we received an e-mail that there would be a final showing of the collection at the Marylebone Hotel. Fortunately, our schedule allowed for us to head on over and we’re glad that we did.

Compared to the big runway shows and presentation venues, we walked into an intimate, glass-filled room on the first floor of the hotel and were quickly greeted by the team of designers. We had a chance to interact with each of the designers and get to know their inspiration for each of their collections, which was broad and varied in styles, but each one distinctive and with a different story. From hand-painted prints, to knit wear inspired from ancient peoples, and sheer pieces with bold illustrations of womanhood, these are collections that make you take notice.

I’m pleased to be able to share their collections and am looking forward to seeing more from each of these talented individuals.
