For the Fall/winter 2020 Hakan Akkaya collection, a total 54 looks in a black, white and gray color palette, accented with silver metal accessories and detailing, walked the runway of Pier 59 Studios.
“This season, my collection attracts all of the attention of femicide, justice, revolt and equality. Women who rock the runway – Women who rock the world,” according to Akkaya. Androgyny was also embraced in this latest collection and was beautifully executed so that the pieces look natural on each gender, not forced or appear intended for the opposite sex. The overall collection was clear in the designer’s vision and like past collections I’ve seen first hand, it was another rocking success with a beautiful Amish twist.
