Inspiration for the collection titled, Madame President, is “a glimpse into a new era of aspirations, where women and men lead in collective strength to demand respect, equality, and a better tomorrow,” according to the collection notes.
Aside from the overall beauty of the collection which encompasses looks for both women and men, what is surprising is the sheer magnitude of pieces created and then actually unveiled at a show during these uncertain times filled with recent lockdowns, travel restrictions and closure of many businesses around the world. More than 40 looks walked an actual runway show filmed in the designer’s homeland. The ability to pull off a full runway show with so many couture pieces simply blew this editor’s mind.
Jewel encrusted creations, beautiful hues of aqua and pink, flowing gowns with exquisite prints, and a wedding gown creation as the finale piece came together to make this showstopper event the perfect way to cap off day one of Haute Couture Week.
