Maximilian Davis took over the creative helm and and beautifully unleashed the Ferragamo Spring/Summer 2023 collection inspired by a new Hollywood at Milan Fashion Week. Glitz and glamour, modern tailoring with softer silhouettes, effortless knits, touches of leather, and elevated everyday essential pieces, are at the heart of the collection. Draping is also perfectly executed in the sheer, finale gowns, several dresses and even in tops with bias cuts and flowing, off-the shoulder fabric.
“I wanted to pay tribute to Salvatore’s start by bringing in the culture of Hollywood – but new Hollywood,” explains Davis. “Its ease and sensuality; its sunset and sunrise.”
Taking further inspiration from a Hollywood sunset, Davis plucked hues to create a color palette of sand, black and white, deep indigo, soft yellow, sky blue, and a new Pantone red which encased the entire space, the palace of the former Archbishop’s Seminary of Milan. If a new Hollywood means a more restrained glamour with hints of fetish, we want more!
