This island is known not just for the its beautiful weather and natural beauty, but also for its incredible fashion industry which has been growing for the past 25 years.
Sedomir Rodríguez de la Sierra is one of the talented designers who belongs to the Tenerife family: TENERIFE MODA. For the first time, Sedomir has presented his bridal collection at Valmont Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week (VBBFW).
“I was quite nervous as this fashion week is one of the most relevant worldwide,” said Sedomir. “My bride is rare. She does not belong to the classical cliché we are used to seeing.”
Sedomir’s rare bride became the phenomenon of day 1 at VBBFW. The explosion of colors, craftsmanship, details and jewelled dresses pleased the audience – a global audience who demands a level of quality, beauty and uniqueness.
The Greek myth love story between Apollo and Daphne served as inspiration for Sedomir to express his admiration towards history and the female figure. The result was gorgeous! Exquisite embroidery covered ultra feminine volumes which emphasized the beauty and curves of the female body. The silhouettes had highly defined waists, volume at the hips, tight-fitting bodies and spectacular necklines.
There was an elegant sensuality which welcomed all shapes. “Every woman is warmly welcomed to wear my designs. If you love the finishing details and appreciate the differentiation, then my collection is for you,” stated Sedomir.
His creations also break the traditional stereotypes of brides. According to Sedomir, “If you love black, where’s the rule which requires you to dress in white on your wedding day?”
And I totally agree with him. This is a celebration for the industry by providing more options and creativity, a creativity which also welcomes amazing millinery pieces specially created by Marisa Velazquez, founder of By Loleiro, a brand to follow.
Sedomir’s hand-crafted pieces can also be worn at every occassion, providing long life for such beautiful creations! The pants, jackets and tops are a safe bet to be used in many different looks and moments.
It is also important to mention that the pieces are currently designed and manufactured in Spain and they hold the certification and label of Spanish Fashion (Confederation of Spanish Fashion house).
