If you’re not familiar with Disney+, it’s the new Disney streaming service launching in the U.S. and Canada on November 12, 2019. Let’s jump right into it with the highlights.
Lucasfilm
The big Star Wars news centered around the trailer release for the “Mandalorian” starring Pedro Pascal and the newly confirmed, yet untitled series starring Ewan McGregor as Obi-Wan Kenobi.
Marvel
In the Marvel Universe, new announcements were made for already confirmed shows like “Loki”, “Falcon and the Winter Soldier”, and “WandaVision”, in which new cast additions were shared.
Then we were told about new shows which included “What If”, a show that explores alternate realities for some of our favorite Marvel super heroes and brand new titles such as “She Hulk” and “Ms. Marvel”.
Disney
Other new shows announced included a new “High School Musical” series, “The World According to Jeff Goldblum”, Hilary Duff reprising her role in a new “Lizzie McGuire” reboot and much, much more.
And in the spirit of live-action remakes of beloved Disney cartoons, there’s a new “Lady and Tramp” movie with real dogs, not CGI creations.[/x_tab][x_tab active=”false”]Established in 1987, Disney Legends is an honor bestowed on the men and women, artists and visionaries, who have left a lasting impression on the Walt Disney organization with their talent, contributions and achievements. Today, there are fewer than 300 individuals who are part of this exclusive group. A total of 12 individuals were honored at this year’s event, but unable to attend were Bette Midler, James Earl Jones and Hans Zimmer.
