The Renaissance of Romance: Christian Dior SS23 at PFW

On the first full day of Paris Fashion Week, the Christian Dior Spring/Summer 2023 collection was unveiled on a runway filled with interpretive dance performances and a cave-like grotto and religious shrine.
Beautiful lace and intricate patterns were the focus of the collection with a more subdued color palette of black, white and beige, along with floral prints added a touch of brightness. Overall, the collection evoked a moody romance in a range of silhouettes, including a sublime bell shape executed in several dramatic looks.
This was a collection in which one look after another brought forth the timeless elegance we expect from the house of Dior but with a modern lens. Brava to Creative Director Maria Grazia Chiuri, brava!
