The Beauty of Handbuilt Silhouettes: CFCL SS25 at Paris Fashion Week
Day one of Paris Fashion Week (PFW) gave us the opportunity to dive into the CFCL “Clothing For Contemporary Life” SS25 – Spring/Summer 2025 – collection unveiled at the Palais de Tokyo on September 23, 2024.
The brand made its return to the official PFW calendar and unveiled its Vol. 9 collection filled with flat, knitted fabric with negative space, rich dyed colors and unique silhouettes created from bricolage. Designer Yusuke Takahashi created a ready-to-wear collection filled with his vision, travel experiences, and unique artistry.
Design elements of note include pleating, the use of fringe for graceful movement, and the incorporation of patchwork crochet for beautiful depth and sexy peek-a-boo moments. The overall result is a collection that exudes the spirit of the brand name — wearable, stylish yet uncomplicated, and made for today’s on-the-go, fashionable lifestyle.
