Inspiration for this stunningly organic and fluid collection came from the “sensory processes that occur between the intricate composition of the human body, mirrored with the fibrous marine ecology of our oceans,” according to show notes. Between inspiration from Spanish neuroanatomist Ramón y Cajal and the Hydrozoa, a class of delicately branched sea-life organisms, a 21-look collection was born.
Elements of the collection ranged from pools of green, blue and lilac, colorful meshworks of cellular geometry, to 3D lasercut and printed techniques. As models floated on the runway, layers on various creations flowed and undulated as if gliding with ease through water.
The end result was a collection that invited us to dive into the world and fantasy created by this talented designer.
