[dropcap]I[/dropcap] am sure by now, we’re all ready for winter to end, But you just never know what Mother Nature is going to throw at us. Will she lull us into a false sense of Spring with a few mild days and then suddenly hit us with a winter storm late March/early April? She’s been known to do it.

For this month’s story, I thought I’d share postcards from the Caribbean to at least help you mentally escape and give you a little something to brighten your day. With the exception of the “postcard” of the dolphin kissing my nephew Milo, all of the “postcards” that I’m sharing with you were taken during my Caribbean cruise vacations. One of my favorite islands is Saint Martin which is split into two by the Dutch and French so you get two wonderful experiences in one tiny island.
I love being on a cruise, unpacking once and being able to travel from one destination to another. And when you combine it with wonderful excursions during the day and endless evening entertainment options, it’s a great way to explore the islands and sample each one if you’ve never been to the Caribbean. Once you’ve picked out your favorite, you can always go back next time to enjoy your new island getaway even more.

Select a picture, take a deep breath, close your eyes and imagine you’re standing in the scene in your Spring break attire and feeling warm breezes blowing all around you. Or maybe yet, these images will inspire you to plan and book a Caribbean trip for next February/early March when you know we’ll be back in the same situation and freezing our “you know whats” off. There are so many islands to choose from, but in the end, no matter what you pick, you’ll be glad that you’re not bundled up in layers and shoveling snow for days on end.
I hope you get a chance to experience a Caribbean Spring Break for yourself and I’d love to see your “postcards”.[/columnize][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row inner_container=”true” padding_top=”0px” padding_bottom=”0px” border=”none” parallax=”true” no_margin=”true”][vc_column width=”1/1″][custom_headline type=”center” level=”h2″ looks_like=”h4″]Island Hopping: From Haiti to the Cayman Islands in the Bahamas[/custom_headline][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row inner_container=”true” no_margin=”true” padding_top=”0px” padding_bottom=”0px” border=”none”][vc_column width=”1/1″][text_output]

Danny . . . . one part of the world of which I know so little and promise to look up each and every little bit! Am especially interested in how many of these areas ‘developed’ according to which country from the ‘Western’ world managed to set foot on first!! Am almost sad that we are not fifty years back and far fewer and much more knowledgeable visitors on these shores . . .
Hi Eha, you make such a great point that the cultures and customs were really developed and guided by who “got there first”. I do think it applies to many parts of the globe where one dominant nation takes control during expansion times and the locals have to adapt. Great insight as always! Hope you are well my friend!
Ahhh, I feel more refreshed & relaxed just looking at these gorgeous photos! Thanks for an awesome “trip”, Danny, even if I didn’t have to leave my couch 😉
Thank you Emily! Glad I could help you refresh and relax 🙂
