Travel from Barcelona–Paris sponsored by Renfe-SNCF [/x_text][/x_column][x_column bg_color=”” type=”3/4″ style=”padding: 0px 0px 0px 0px; “][x_text]Based in Barcelona, Boris Bidjan Saberi is an example of a visionary entrepreneur. During this season of Paris Fashion Week Men’s, he once again was able to display his vision at the Palais de Tokyo with the unveiling of his Fall/Winter 2019 (FW19) collection.
This season, Boris strongly embraces his roots. The way this designer manages his values, vision and proud admiration towards his family heritage is absolutely brilliant and coherent. Each of his pieces convey his personality in a natural way. His ambition is pure and strong.
“Roots” is de name chosen for the FW19 collection. It is comprised of imaginary travel to the fierce cold of Mongolia, as the Mongolian Dynasty once encompassed Iran, the birthplace of his father.
The Mongolian landscape deserves strong shapes and big volumes. This time, mimicking Mongolian shepherds and their protective tents. These garments often come in several layers of differently processed cottons in different hues. The long coats perfectly accompanied the shape of the body of each adventurer.
Boris loves to experiment with fabrics such as hybrid cotton, overlapping techniques, cashmere and leather. Each one of them handmade and molded to protect the adventurer. The colors also took part in the experiment. As a new revelation, “Roots” provides a palette of peppermint greens and patina blues from oxidation experiments with real copper to beautifully contrast black, gray and white.
For accessories, giant bags and backpacks accompanied the looks for the journey through winter. And as always, Boris’s footwear has caught our eye as he joined forces with French brand Salomon and gave birth to a new GORE TEX mountain boot made with a layered cushion technique in all leather.
Boris Bidjan Saberi has a clear sublime idea about how we have to face the contemporary frozen landscape. Utility and personality.
