These half-ruined surroundings which your mind recreates, even when you don’t even expect it.”
This sentence is an invitation to dream and imagine. That’s how designer Esther Noriega wanted to introduce us to her lastest collection at Valmont Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week (VBBFW).
After 15 years in business, Esther caught the attention of a Chinese partner last year while showcasing her collection for the first time at VBBFW. This was the beginning of a new era for her brand and her atelier based in historical Valladolid in Spain.
This Chinese alliance has catapulted Esther’s designs. This past January at the China Wedding Expo trade show, the firm presented its 2020 bridal collection called SERENDIPITY by Esther Noriega to Asian buyers in Shanghai, with whom they established business relationships. Such international opportunities have pushed her boundaries in observing the details dreamed of by Chinese women and also expanded her creativity.
She was the right designer to partner with and showcase colorful and delicate pieces from her bridal collections. In an era where the mature Chinese market demands uniqueness and differentiation, Esther Noriega found her niche.
Despite the belief that a Chinese alliance would require outsourcing and a move of the artisan production to the land of her new partner, Esther’s team and atelier remains at Valladolid. And now, her team has even expanded with more local experts.
Such growth has also translated into her new designs unveiled at VBBFW where patterns have become more ambitious and with the clear objective of bringing even more elegance to her brides.
In this latest collection, we find Tulle, little emboidered flowers dancing around a long deep v-neck dress and beautiful white flowers cascading on delicate long dresses. As for colors, the palette consisted of pale green and blue. Even a fierce bride in black walked the runway wearing a tiara showing the majesty of the dress. There were also short and midi ultra chic dresses–truly youthful.
With Serendipia by Esther Noriega, this designer is becoming the object of desire not only for the Asian market, but, also for those who demand elegant harmony.
