For Autumn/Winter 2019, the theme of “Loved and Lost” is all about treasured memories, emotions and relationships. According to Thomson, “The starting point on this collection was that I wanted to create a collection based upon the memory of my Nan… but not a sad look upon love and losing someone; a keepsake memory of times, playfulness and love. This childhood look upon objects, people and memories remembers emotions and feelings towards different things, connections with different objects and people. To love and lose someone doesn’t always mean your boyfriend — this collection highlights different types of love, different relationships through life.”
Thomson also shared with us the visual inspiration she created of “Glam-ma”, who she describes as the “inspired character of my beloved Nan, her jewelry that we played dress up with, her stories of different sweets she got every time she visited a new place and her youthfulness of being a grandma. Having a connection with each collection is really special to me and for me I will always have a soft spot for this character.”

On top of it all, discover embroidery details and playful motifs overlaid on the pieces – you’ll have to explore the pieces to discover the precious moments and sayings.
And to complete each look, Thomson created the bags and other accessories while collaborating with Sassy Freak for glammed-up jewelry which ranged from clip-on dangled earrings to heart lockets. And we can’t forget to mention the “Glam-ma” glasses with pearl chain – the perfect finishing touch for this collection. I think Nan would be proud.
