This Fall/Winter 2019 season was no exception as I had the opportunity to cover the Lukhanyo Mdingi event at New York Fashion Week Men’s. The South African label debuted in a presentation format full of rich orange/rust tones, copper and winter whites — pieces created with restrained sophistication and elegance for men and women. Unique head coverings and sandals were welcome accessories which referenced the designer’s African roots. Textural, detailed and cohesive — I can’t wait to see more from this talented young designer.
