She made her debut this season with the launch of Swonne and her focus on timeless denim. During the launch event, which happened to be a family affair (husband Adam designed the beautiful, floating installation for displaying the clothing line) I had a chance to meet with Katie and understand her drive and vision in a world of designers dominated by men.
She brings a unique British rocker-vibe combined with Savile Row tailoring to our American shores in her collection. I discovered the zipper and ring details in the jeans which make them truly Swonne and I was infatuated with the touch of metallic throughout the collection. Oh and the black t-shirt with the metallic back, LOVE!
I’m excited to see what comes next, but until next season, I’ll be wearing my metallic black t-shirt!
