At VRAI Magazine, we write about personal passions and share stories that hopefully inpsire you. That’s why my brain started to look for the ideal summer paradise location and it had to have these main features:
- Beautiful beach and sand
- Open to the sea
- Unique nature
- Not crowed and filled with tourists
- Ideal for relaxation
- Amazing food
This unbelievable paradise exits — Beso Beach in the island of Formentera. I had the pleasure of talking with Beso Beach founders Andres García and Miguel Sancho.
Mabel: How did the idea of Beso Beach get started?
Beso Beach: We love sharing moments with our friends – from relaxing at the Mediterranean Sea, enjoying the sun, sharing laughs and conversations around a table — unique experiences for all the senses. Playa de Cavall d’en Borràs, in Formentera is the perfect place to experience all of this. Everything here is unique — the sunset, the food, the conversations… all unforgettable!
Mabel: Formentera is a unique place which requires special environmental care. How can you manage tourism with sustainability?
Beso Beach: If you aim to live in a paradise, you must preserve it. That’s why Beso Beach has in its philosophy the love and care towards nature, animals and beaches, not only with our daily work, but also in cooperating with some environmental associations.
This year, we have collaborated with Gen-Gob’s project “The sea, a shared responsibility”. This project fights for the preservation of the Posidonia meadows, an amazing group of little jungles where a lot of species have found their homes. The Posidonia plant (Posidonea oceanic) is a native Mediterranean plant which lives under water.
Mabel: If you had to reveal the key to your success, am I wrong if I said Beso Beach goes beyond a day in the beach lying in the sand and eating in a restaurant? Your place provides such a sensory experience — the location, the food, the service, your focus on customer experience and how you invite customers to enjoy and embrace the magic of the island and its sunsets.
Beso Beach: You’re totally right. We want our friends and customers to enjoy the whole Beso Beach experience. That’s why we pay attention to every little detail. Everyone who wants to live a unique moment can come and visit us in the afternoon until one hour past sunset. Our sunsets are open to everyone!
Mabel: In your slogan #NoHayVeranoSinBeso (there is no summer without a Kiss), what’s the meaning or relevance of having kisses within the DNA of Beso Beach?
Beso Beach: A kiss is a sensation, an experience, a longing — something to remember. Our goal is to translate this concept in everything Beso Beach does for its customers. The first time we arrived at Beso Beach we were hypnotized by the magnificent sunset. We imagined a couple sitting in the sand, kissing in front of the sun. That’s one of the experiences we wanted to be shared.
Mabel: Can you tell me more about your food and drinks?
Beso Beach: Well, we are known for our paellas. Its success comes from the fresh fish, lobsters and the passion of our chefs.
But also our meat, our “chuletón de buey” and our daily fresh fishes are excellent! Everything has been selected so accurately in order to be able to provide the whole Beso Beach experience. Regarding cocktails, our mojitos are popular in the Mediterranean specially the strawberry. Each mojito is prepared one by one with fresh fruits.
In addition to the food, there is also live music every day by DJ Jordi Ruz who makes sure to provide you with the proper music for your body and soul.
