There are so many fashion shows, blogs and magazines that overload us with a huge amount of pictures, videos and show reviews.
That is why I have filtered my favorite trends for 2016 that I believe we are going to wear this year.
Ready? Fashion. Go!
1. Culottes
The funny fancy pants have come to stay. Even though they take a little to get used to, they are the perfect alternative to boring skinny jeans (and definitely more comfortable).

2. Asian Styles
Asian beauty trends have already conquered the western world, but know Asian fashion is about the become the new thing. There’s hardly any fashion forecaster who doesn’t say that Asian styles are going to dominate the next few years in fashion.
And still, Asian styles could not be more different — on the one side you will find colorful kimonos, on the other Japanese minimalism.

3. 90’s
Oh lord, the 90’s are back. Not sure if that’s a good thing, but there are still a few pieces that have caught my eye. One of my favorites — the choker, remember? For next season I expect grungy dark looks (Givenchy!), pinky-winky barbie sweaters (Moschino) and a lot of white sneakers (Nike Cortez, Adidas Superstars)!

4. Opulence
Hello black! Hello gold! Even though minimalism is one of the biggest trends in 2016 we are not ready yet to say goodbye to brocade embroideries and heavy velvet fabrics. And as long as Olivier Rousteing is ruling over the Balmain fashion empire (or as he likes to call it, the #balmainnation) I don’t see any changes in that coming soon.

5. Think Green
…. and I am not talking about the color. Sustainabilty has become one of fashion’s major talk-abouts. Green materials, fair production standards and vegan fabrics have had a huge impact on fashion in 2015. And costumers’ demands for sustainabilty are steadily growing.

6. All Victorian Everything
It is all about the neck. In winter, turtle necks were all over the runways, now heavy victorian styles are stepping into spring/summer with us. High necked, yet transparent blouses with beautiful details, big and loud statement accessories and heavy embroidered caban jackets are awaiting us this year.

7. Trumpet Sleeves
Summer’s favorite statement piece is the trumpet sleeved blouse. Styled whith simple black leather pants or tight skirts, the blouse is shining right in 2016. Editor’s choice: The white Tibi Blouse.

8. Lingerie
Let’s be a little cheeky this year. Night shirts made out of satin and lace are not just accompanying us in bed this season, but also on the streets. Can’t imagine? See for yourself:

9. Fringes
In 2015 the 70’s celebrated their huge comeback. And they have come to stay. The biggest trend for 2016: Denim+fringe – a perfect style couple.

10. Bomber Jackets
Tired of wearing leather and denim jackets all the time? Try something new: Bomber jackets are the perfect piece to dress down any outfit (and it makes you look so much cooler anyway).

Interesting. I admit it. The only thing I really loved was the Bomber jacket. Okay, “Think Green.” Thanks for sharing these trends.
