Designer: Omer Asim
Presentation Venue: Elms Lesters Painting Rooms, London
The Collection: Set amidst a “church-like” setting within the Elms Lesters Painting Rooms, Omer Asim’s SS16 collection was a classic study of the beauty of black and white with an ultra modern twist.
Each creation was composed of elegant, clean lines, some paired with metals and even wood. Each one framed in beautiful “staged moments” that conveyed both strength and vulnerability. Despite the lack of a bright color palatte found in almost every other design collection we saw during London Fashion Week, Omer Asim shared his vision with us of taking a different route and delivering color through texture.
