Presentation Venue: Elms Lesters Painting Rooms, London
The Collection: “Worst Day Ever”. Not even close — but that was the theme for Steven Tai’s SS16 collection at London Fashion Week. We literally entered a classroom reminiscent of our childhood, but this time, filled with beautiful young ladies in the most stylish school attire I’ve ever seen. Shades of blue, yellow and pink were the primary palatte and designed with structural geometry yet layered with soft touches of lace and ribbon for a sweet essence. The were many separates which could be mixed and matched to create a wide array of looks. Though Steven had said that there were many days that evoked the theme that had been selected, it was clear that the creative process and his talents won out in the end with a collection that was fun and flirty for today’s woman.
