A Dark Confidence on the Runway: Landeros FW25 at New York Fashion Week

Is it fair to have high expectations when you arrive to a fashion show at New York Fashion Week? Not really for the big-name shows and you know who they are. But despite only discovering the Landeros brand during its debut presentation at New York Men’s Day almost a year ago, I did have high hopes since I was truly impressed during my initial exposure to the brand.
Flash forward a year later and I was eager for the start of the stand-alone runway event showcasing the Landeros FW25 — Fall/Winter 2025 — “Heathens” collection.

An earthy color palette of black, grey and brown filled the collection, creating a dark and moody vibe. Beautiful, suited tailoring with the Landeros flair created modern silhouettes and “captivating personas” with nods to eras gone by, each one reeking of confidence and with just the right amount of attitude.
Key details include pointed shoulders, the male corset, silvery accents, and dramatic flared, open sleeves. One of our favorite looks, actually two, since we saw the look walk the runway in black and white versions, featured a high-waisted pleated skirt over voluminous tulle, and a sheer top with ruffled collar. The looks exuded modern-day witch vibes and this editor is all for it!

To designer Andre Gerard Michel Jr… you’ve continued to raise the bar and we’re eager to see what’s next.
