Living Masterpieces: Iris van Herpen Couture 2024 at Haute Couture Week

Discover the Iris van Herpen Couture 2024 “Hybrid” collection unveiled on day one of Haute Couture Week, June 24, 2024.

Living artwork pieces, four in total, were made possible through the fusion of models sculpted into the canvas. The result was a dramatic exhibit showcasing the brilliant creativity and vision of van Herpen. Inspiration for the various pieces was drawn from the power of nature, including the sea.

“For a long time I’ve been working on expanding people’s perception of how fashion and art can be symbiotic. This is the natural next step for me to really show what I mean. Even though we call one practice ‘Haute Couture’ and the other ‘art,’ to me, it’s one universe.”
